How I Met Your Mother

Another really awesome half hour show is How I Met Your Mother.

Bob Saget narrates and the premise of the show is he is telling his kids the story of how he met their mother- but you never actually find out who their mom ended up being (yet) although they allude to it all the time.

Ted, an aspiring architect played by unknown (at least to me) Josh Radnor, is roommates with Marshall, the aspiring lawyer. Marshall and Lily (played by Alyson Hannigan) just got married, but they still all live together. Lily has a secret credit card debt that she has hidden from Marshall, and no one knows except her friend Robyn (a Canadian news anchor who used to date Ted and is always hinted to as the 'mother')

Barney (played by the awesome Neil Patrick Harris) is a man whore who is absolutely flawless with the ladies, a bit of a douche, and the funniest character hands down.

In this episode, Janis from friends (played by Maggie Wheeler- you know the one with the horrendous laugh who dated Chandler) plays a real estate broker for Marshall and Lily when they decide they need to get a place alone (although since Marshall doesn't know about Lily's debt, they can't really afford it). Because of Lily's debt, when they apply for a joint mortgage to buy the place, they get quoted a a rate of 18%, and that's how Marshall finds out about Lily's heinous credit card debt.

Anyway, Lily figures out that if they get a divorce, Marshall can get the apartment mortgage in his name, but he won't do it but they end up getting an apartment anyway- but when they pull up in a taxi, they realize they are DOWn WInd of the SEwage TREatment PLAnt (Dowisetrepla, the name of the area the realtor sold them the apartment in!!!)

Another guest on this week's episode is April Bowlby, whose name you probably don't recognize, except if you watch Two and a Half Men, because she played Kandi last season! She plays Barney's lust interest in this episode. http://imdb.com/name/nm1763049/ I happen to think she is stunning- as a redhead or a blonde (how lucky!).

I totally think Neil Patrick Harris should get an award for his role on this show- it's the best character since Chandler on friends- and I know I mentioned Friends twice in this one post...

This weeks episode isn't the best one to see if you've never watched before, but last weeks 'I'm Not That Guy' is totally worth it!!!
