Chuck

Last week's episode ended with Chuck 'breaking up' with Sarah (his CIA undercover girlfriend). She comes to his store and asks him to make up with her so they can remain boyfriend and girlfriend so they have a good cover.

He doesn't want to pretend go out with her because he really wants a real relationship with her, but she lies to him and says that will never happen (alluding to us watchers that she may really like him that way, but won't cross that line with him because they need to work together). Now that they are broken up, he can date Lou a.k.a Rachel Bilson.

Sarah is told by her superiors that it is really suspicious that this random woman came in from nowhere and is now dating their 'asset' (Chuck) and tells them they need to find out everything they can about her.

While Chuck is at Lou's apartment, he has a flash from a party invitation. It is for a party her crazy ex is throwing- and Chuck sees all kinds of things in his mind. He is told by the CIA/NSA to try to find out everything he can about Stavros (Lou's ex) and go to the party at the club with Lou to see if he flashes to anything. At the party, they get the information they needed about the package that Stavros is bringing into the country, but Lou gets mad that Chuck spent the entire time talking to her ex and his (Sarah comes in to help him) and huffs out.

Anyway, there is a whole bunch of craziness- and then Chuck and Lou break up for good, and Chuck and Sarah get back together- for real this time- and then when Sarah and Casey open the 'bomb' they find Bryce inside (yes, the thought to be dead rogue spy Sarah was dating) and Casey utters "I thought I killed him"...

Next week's episode should be quite interesting indeed!

Chuck

Even though the episodes are starting to blur into one big long episode (because the storyline is pretty much the same every week except with a different bad guy) I still watch because I like the premise of the show and the guy who plays Chuck is sometimes pretty funny.

Anyway, Rachel Bilson (the last thing I saw her in was 'The OC" and I didn't watch that show, just knew about it) guest stars this week- and although I hear she is super short in real life, she manages to dress tall, which is a compliment. Her character is random- I like to categorize her as a neat, preppy girl and she plays a Phoebe-from-Friends skitzy type instead.

The episodes run too long to actually outline the story here, but if you have 43 minutes to watch decent TV, you should spend it on this show- it satisfies your hunger without making you feel stuffed. (Yes, I actually used that line- I am hungry and keep eating donuts... not helping)

I'd like to add that the guy who plays his sister's boyfriend is kinda funny- and I really like the few lines he does say, although he usually walks in and out looking good on the show.

I also just noticed that McG is the executive producer on the show. http://imdb.com/name/nm0629334/
He worked on stuff like 'The OC' and "Charlie's Angel's" and I'm pretty sure he has produced a few music videos too...

So, watch the show, it's worth it a loads better than some of the other junk I watch every week.

Chuck

Chuck is a cutesy show about a regular Nerd Herd guy who works at a Buy More (play on Best Buy and Geek Squad) who is sent a secret program from his ex-roommate (who was a spy and who dies) that inputs all the data the government has into his brain. The CIA and NSA send two agents to get the program, but once they realize it is in Chuck's head, they protect him and in each episode so far he has seen something that sets of a subliminal recognition thing and save the planet from bad people and rogue spies.

Morgan, Chuck's best friend and co-worker at the Buy More, is a kooky funny loser-ish character, with heart. Chuck's sister dates a guy- nicknamed Captain Awesome... and now you're pretty up to speed.

In this week's episode, Chuck has just missed out on a promotion (because he was busy doing spy stuff) and now he is assigned a case where a CIA asset has gone missing- and the asset turns out to be a professor of Chuck's from Stanford. Unfortunately, Chuck has a personal bad history with the professor (he kicked Chuck out of school back in the day) and Chuck doesn't want to be involved.

The show is sometimes slow moving, but has a surprisingly good soundtrack! Anyway, watch it, I don't have the patience to write what happens this week.
