Celebrity Apprentice (3.12.08)

I was hoping that an Omarosa free episode would actually be good, but unfortunately, the more people who get fired, the more boring the show becomes!

http://www.nbc.com/The_Celebrity_Apprentice/video/episodes.shtml

The teams have to make and sell a Quizno's sandwich.
Trace is the PM with Stephen, pictured above.
Lennox is the PM with Piers and Carol, pictured below.

Trace's team does the 'Cowboy Club'... kinda predictable, but decent. Lennox's team naturally does the 'Knockout Club' as suggested by Piers- although I think they should have utilized Carol Alt! I think she is WAYYYY more recognizable- plus, if she stood on the street she could pull in all those scummy NY business men... just kidding...

I want Trace to win (and I predict he will) so that Lennox can get Piers fired finally.

Of course, Piers pulls a win out of his... well, you know. I am so annoyed.
Yuck!!!
Obviously Stephen should go because I like Trace and I don't want him to go home!!!
I am frustrated with the show- but I keep watching hoping it will improve! If Trace gets sent home tonight, I want Carol to win- she is my second choice after Trace.
I feel bad for Trace- he really wanted to win money for his charity which directly affected him (his daughter has bad allergies and his charity was related to helping people with anaphylaxis issues)
Stephen should go- he caused issues earlier on while Trace has been pretty much a steady rock throughout the entire competition.
Bye Stephen!
After Trace got back up to the rooms, they got a call to go back into the boardroom....
And Trump is firing two more people so it's down to the final two!!!
See ya next week...

Celebrity Apprentice (#710)

I hope that one of my two least favorite gets shafted and fired tonight- I've had enough of both Piers and Omarosa...

http://www.nbc.com/The_Celebrity_Apprentice/video/episodes.shtml

Ok- 2 minutes in- I have to comment.
First of all Omarosa's tacky white plastic boots and purple minidress with broad white belt looks awful! She is a grown woman- what the hell went through her head when she looked in the mirror and saw her reflection? Beyond that, she looks so cheap and tawdry standing in Trump's gilded and ivory living room...
About that living room- I get it, it was classic and fit the era when it was built- but the 80's have been over for a long time now! Time for some of the dramatic russian gold to go!
I also couldn't help but notice how pleading and needy both Ivanka and Don Jr looked when Donald was bragging about what his 16 month old son wants to do when he grows up (Bidneth = Business according to the blonde spitting image of Trump Sr.) They will never be able to stop looking for his approval will they?

This week's task is to sell art- it has a minimum price but anything raised above that goes to the charity of the PM's choice... so Omarosa is PM for her team, and when he heard that Piers volunteered for his team- SHOWDOWN FINALLY!!!

Piers' team got smart- they chose an artist who makes 'new media' art- and the magic of her work is that you can sell more than one of each 'piece' as opposed to a painting or sculpture which once it's sold, it sold.

Piers calls a ton of people to get them to buy art... I have a feeling his team will win.

Yay! Piers won! Omarosa is already squirming and backstabbing everyone else to fight to win in front of Trump- I know she is going home, and hope Trump also fires Stephen, just because he was being a dope.

Thank You! Omarosa is out! Finally- now the real game can begin...

Celebrity Apprentice (2.28.08)

I know, I bitch about how boring this show is, but I never fail to catch up... I'll admit I am weak for it, but it's still pretty bad, I'll admit.

This week, after Marilu got shafted last week, Stephen Baldwin got to give his mom another $20,000 check to support his charity for a cure for breast cancer (which is awesome for him). I love how his mom kept saying "Tell the Donald thank you from me".

Carol Alt looks great today! Her grey/white/black animal print off the shoulder dress is stunning! This week's task is to create a 4 page ad for Redbook magazine for Dial soap.
OMAROSA IS SUCH A SNAKE!
She starts saying she wants to be PM and then as soon as Donald starts saying that PM's have a history of getting fired she starts backpedaling and forces Tito to take the title! Yuck- SEND HER HOME ALREADY!
Oh, and Carol is the PM for the other team.
(On second glance, her dress isn't that great, it looked better when she first walked out, now it looks cheesy with the sequins).

Who knew Redbook readers love Trace Adkins? (Not me, although I absolutely don't fit their demographic whatsoever). Naturally Stephen wants to use Trace (again) and Carol should be the model for her team too.

At the presentations, Piers did a great job, but Tito totally blew it - he stumbled over his words and the product info...

So, naturally, Carol's team won (like there was any doubt!) but now Omarosa is in the hot seat (FINALLY) and hopefully it's her time to go this week.
Don't do it- oh come on- Tito did not deserve to be fired- Omarosa shoulda gone....
Once more, I walk away disappointed.

Celebrity Apprentice (Episodes 7 & 8)

Yawwwwn, I don't know why I actually watch this show anymore- since I am bored before it starts (although the whole Gene Simmons sex tape scandal happening just after he 'left' the Apprentice was a bit convenient and the most exciting thing to happen all season- warning- don't look it up- I saw a 2 second clip and my eyes still hurt...)

Anyway, Piers is still talking, since last week, not sure what about though. I think he is still blathering on about Omarosa....

Dum Dum Dum... everyone gets called into the boardroom and decides to mix up the teams... and the boys team is pissed!
I wish he would have put Piers and Omarosa together- oh wait, he did! HAHAHAHAHA
Finally, something funny! Piers is already bitching about having to be with her- this will be a funny episode.

Ok, the task is to take three horse and carriages into Central Park and raise the most money they can giving rides. The smart thing to do? Advertise a carriage ride with Tito or Lennox- the recognizable faces. Or get Gene Simmons back for a cameo (I'm a little one track, sorry).

Um, Stephen- 59th is not the same as Central Park South! It's close, but it's not the same thing!!!

As predicted Omarosa and Piers are arguing non-stop, to the detriment of their task, of course.

Billy Baldwin looks just like his brother! And they pimped him out!!! How funny!

I think Piers is gonna lose- his idea of keeping some of the carriages ready and available in case a huge donor showed up was stupid- he lost the smaller tickets because of it- but Omarosa was really crude, saying his kids hate him in front of everyone!

Jenna Jameson showed up! How cute! She donated $1000 to Tito's (her boyfriend) team and went on the carriage ride with him....

Ivanka saw Piers and Omarosa fighting and it was ugly... so glad I don't know either of them!

Trace Adkins is really funny- he's quiet, but when he actually speaks up he is hilarious!!!

Piers realizes at the last minute that he is going to lose because he didn't sell street tickets...
I really don't feel bad for him- but I do feel bad for Carol and Lennox for having to deal with him and Omarosa...

Trump should fire both of them for dragging the show down- that's the smart way to deal with them both!

This sucks- Piers' team won... I am so disappointed. That means either Trace, Marilu, Tito or Stephen has to go home. This truly truly sucks.

Trump moved Omarosa to the losing team, but it really sucks. As far as I can tell, the only thing anyone on Trace's team did that could even be labeled a 'loss' was when Tito went on the carriage ride instead of staying behind to keep helping- but even that isn't fair because it raised $1000!
Omarosa is like that fat ugly loud chic in the bar who keeps over emphasizing everything to mask their insecurities... I truly dislike her!

This is bull- Trump should call Piers and Omarosa back into the room and fire them anyway- they both lost because of their behavior! What- Trump isn't firing anyone!!!

Wow- I am impressed that he didn't fire them, but disappointed that Piers and Omarosa are still around. And poor Marilu, she has to go to Piers' team and Omarosa will plague Tito, Trace and Stephen now...

(cute ending- they showed the driver standing outside next to the empty car...)

well, on to episode 8:

Omarosa is so full of it- Trump doesn't like her, he likes the ratings she stirs up, cuz that's all she's good for!

The task this week is to produce a 10 minute segment selling something on QVC. Could be a funny task, if they mess up, it's live....
Hmmm. Tough call so far- it could go to either team- unless Stephen loses sight of the goal.... then his team will lose...

They flipped a coin to see which team got the ladder that they bost wanted to sell- Stephen lost, so he had to get the sweeper thing... sucks for him...

Marilu's team should put Carol on QVC BECAUSE SHE HAS A FAMOUS FACE!!! Instead, they nominated Marilu... not even Lennox?

Stephen voted Trace to go on air and sell the sweeper thingy... hmmm

Marilu dropped her co-host on his butt... that was stupid. He was on the ladder/hand cart and she dropped him... yeesh!

Stephen one ups her by being even dumber and not rehearsing with Trace and his co-host at all!

Seriously- let Tito win the Apprentice now and get it over with!

By the way- I totally would have bought the sweeper thing- I have carpet and really don't want to buy a heavy vaccuum... if it was $15 or less, I'd totally have bough it! Unfortunately it's $60... oh well.

Marilu is a little manic on air- she's doing a great job but kind of not letting the other host speak... she did a great job, but whew- I was tired watching her!

Stephen should go home if his team loses, even if Trace messes up, because Stephen vetoed the rehearsal before going live...
Trace is smooth, but he is NERVOUS!
He is very calm and laid back, and he describes the product really well- how cute- they made it into 5 easy payments of $11.99 to try to get people to buy it... so funny...

Stephen's team won! I guess I am happy, I mean, fire Piers PLEASE!!!

Uh oh- Carol and Marilu both messed up by not implementing easy-pay (they'd both been on QVC before). Piers totally threw Lennox under the bus saying he was 'sleepy boy'.... FIRE PIERS ALREADY!!!

SEND PIERS HOME
SEND PIERS HOME
SEND PIERS HOME

Marilu did talk too much, but Piers shoulda gone home last week, and the week before, and the week before that, so... I know Carol should have known about Easy-pay since she'd been working for QVC for 5 years prior, but I HATE PIERS so

SEND PIERS HOME!!!

Whatever- Trump is losing his edge, too many seasons of Apprentice- he should cut Piers in an instant- I think he kept him around for ratings cuz his show SUCKS!!!

Celebrity Apprentice (week 6)

So the women finally won one- and Vinny 'resigned'.

I am creeped out by Stephen Baldwin, last week he irritated me by getting excited by the whole spying thing and then backpeddaling 100% and saying he didn't support it- although I really think Piers shoulda been sent packing...

HAHAHAHAHAHA
Omarosa begins the show by dumping a glass of champagne over Piers's head.
Then Stephen tells Piers he can't work with him...and wants to leave.
Stephen meets with Mr. Trump and tells him he can't continue working with Piers. Instead of resigning, which is what he went in there to do, Trump assigns him to the women's team! The women are less than happy, but what is even funnier is that Stephen tells the women if they even just tell him to shut up and make coffee for them, he'll do it.

Lennox and Omarosa are the Project Manager's and the task this week is to create a 'living window' featuring Vera Wang's specialty designed Serta matresses...

As much as the women's window was great, I thought the men did a better job.

I knew it! he men won- so now someone has to be fired from the women's team- I think Omarosa will be gunning for Marilu...

Nailed it again- she brought Marilu and Nely - I think Omarosa needs to go!!!

Whatever- Trump fired Nely. So tired of the stupid firings- why is Omarosa still there?

Celebrity Apprentice

Before I blog about last week's episode can I address this surprising fact that I just found out- Tito Ortiz is dating Jenna Jameson! I didn't know that, and it doesn't affect the show or how I feel about it, but it caught me off guard when I found out!

This week, athletes foot was spread as the teams had to make a campaign to get people to donate their old Croc's (yes, the ugly mugly shoes) so they could be (gag) given to people who need shoes!

I am all for charity, I am- but buy the poor people some new shoes for goodness sake!

Vinny and Piers fake fought so Vinny could stand outside the room and spy on the ladies team... it was really funny...because then Vinny knocks on the girls door and offers to work for them because 'he can't get along with Piers'... but it was a staged act! How stupid are the women? Hello- they know how to be cutthroat- why are they acting so so so FEMALE?!?
I am laughing inside- but it's a little pathetic at this point. Carol will get fired, becase the women are going to lose and she will pull in skeevy Omarosa and blah blah blah we all know how it goes.

Vinny is freaking hilarious- he repeats the girls ideas and writes them all down and sneaks out and tosses it to Lennox Lewis! HAHAHAHAHA it's like passing notes in high school! But Vinny also gave the ladies a lot of good ideas- he just couldn't help himself! Funnier still is how Stephen Baldwin didn't pick up thenote- he got Lennox to go get it because he didn't want to cheat...what did he think they were doing sending Vinny over in the first place?

Yeesh- backpedalling 911! Vinny tells Marilu why he went to their team, but comes clean and decides to help the women win.

To make it even funnier, Ivanka comes to visit and Piers tells her the whole thing- and she says she is 'slightly into sabotaging' but is totally surprised that the women didn't realize it could have been a trap!!!

I'm not sure why Piers let Nely know he knew the girls slogan- seemed kind of a stupid move to me, but he rubbed it in her face and now it's game on- the girls are pissed.

It went from very funny to extremely stupid... I'm over it.

Both presentations were great- but the girls had a better bin, the boys had a better slogan...
I think the women might finally win!

Um, Vinny seriously thinks he's a mafioso- I thought it was funny but he believes it!

The women won! Wow- I think it's about time! Although, it wasn't as much because of the job Carol did, as much as the mess with Vinny/Piers...

Vinny showed he's not as smart as he projected- I kind of want Trump to fire both Vinny and Piers.
Why are they playing Journey 'Don't Stop Believing'? Total misuse of a gret song.
Vinny resigned.
Blah.

Celebrity Apprentice 1.24.08

Yeesh, so my pick for winner, Gene Simmons, got canned last week, and now I really am annoyed at Omarosa- she should have been first to go!!!

I don't have a new pick yet for winner- maybe this week's episode will help me figure it out. Maybe Carol Alt, maybe Tito...

The PM's this week are Marilu and Vinny... without knowing anything about the task (except is has something to do with Broadway plays) I think maybe just maybe the girls will win, unless the boys carry Vinny through, he seems like a weaker player to me (although I adored him on HBO... sorry Vinny!)

I was right, it was a weak episode- they had to sell Broadway tickets and I actually think the women won...

oh well, I was wrong- by just under $2,000 the men beat the women.
PLEASE send home Omarosa!!!

Cop out, unless Marilu opens her mouth, Jennie will be sent home.

called it- Jennie is out! PLEASE FIRE OMAROSA NEXT WEEK!!!

Celebrity Apprentice 1.17.08

I missed the first minute, but here's the rest of it, live.

Nely and Carol walk back in, so everyone knows Nadia was fired. Omarosa does this pep talk thing saying they just need one win and then it will be a domino effect and the girls will win it all- um, ok. They might stand a chance if Omarosa gets fired, otherwise no matter who she works with, they'll lose!

Alright, because the women are getting beat so badly, Trump asks one of the men to switch over- and of course, Gene Simmons switches to the women's team. The task is something about Kodak, printers and ink (I wasn't really listening, it was boring) and Nely over talks everyone during the meeting with the executives. Later, Gene points out that the Kodak execs are wrong about what they told Nely, and that the women need to focus on more than just the ink...

Stephen Baldwin really enunciates words, over and over again. Tito Ortiz is the PM this week, but it seems like Stephen is taking over- he just keeps blabbering... Piers Morgan suggests a 'knock down' between Tito and Lennox Lewis, then Stephen says "Kodak is going to knock you out!". Trace Adkins (a country singer) is also on the men's team- I feel like he could be the underdog who wins it all if Gene falls through on me. Vinny Pastore (from The Sopranos) is also on the team- and he is hilarious!

Unfortunately for the men, just as they finish taking pics of Lennox and Tito (shirtless, "knocked out" by the Kodak printer...) Stephen knocks over a drink and it goes all over the one laptop they had all their stuff on... they don't know if the laptop will work or if they lost all their stuff, so they come up with a plan B just in case- which they ended up needing- so their presentation is a bunch of sloppy poster's, and their sales skills will matter most!

Gene, as PM for the women, makes everyone do all the work, and as much as you want to criticize him you can't cuz he wins, and is usually right! He gets all the women to sell the printer's, and really just watches as it all happens. Jim Kramer (Mad Money) stops by... I hate his show, he is loud and a blowhard...and he looks much smaller on this show than on his usual show.

The women's presentation is really professional, as opposed to the men's. The men start gaining momentum by really promoting the inexpensive ink, but I think the women are gonna win this one.

Yay! My favorite TV fake CEO- Alec Baldwin showed up to lend his brother support!!! He's funny on 30 Rock, so his appearance definitely lent a lot to the men's team. He buys a lot of printer/ink just to donate to charity, but it was nice of him to show up and help out his lil brother.

So, we are in the board room- and Gene immediately is in the hot seat with Trump over his skipping the executive meeting... but then it slips over the sloppy men's team presentation and Tito explains about the coffee spill... Jim Kramer weighs in and says the men's team had a sloppy presentation, but got the message across better- and Hydra wins! (I am surprised, thought Empresario would take it home) If Gene had gone to the meeting and understood the message Kodak was trying to promote, they would have won- but even in dollar dales, the men beat the women too!

Bad feeling now- Gene is gonna get blamed, but I think he will wiggle his way out and Nely will be out cuz even though he wasn't at the meeting, she was and it will land on her. Yup- I was right- the Kodak execs told Trump that Nely talked wayyyy too much at the meeting. Carol kind of squirms when he confronts her, and the Omarosa attacks Gene in the boardroom by saying he doesn't even know the product (which he doesn't know, even though it's written on his hand).

Trump asks Carol who she would fire, and she says herself or Nely. Omarosa says Gene. Jenny says Gene. Marilu says Gene. Nely says Jenny (huh?) and explains that it is because she isn't a good leader (which makes no sense because she wasn't even PM!). Gene brings Omarosa into the boardroom (but he should have brought Nely too, and now he will be fired). Sucks when ego gets in the way of a smart decision.

Trump tells Gene he needs to bring someone else in, even though Gene asked if he could only bring one and Trump agreed he could! He should bring Nely, she'll be fired EASILY! (Of course, its commercial break!)

So, Gene decides to bring Jenny Finch back in to the board room too (she won a gold medal for something, no idea what). Gene is going home- I am so annoyed at him. Jim Kramer is so pissed he stutters! (I really don't like the guy, sorry). Omarosa immediately defends herself, and Trump asks Gene what he should do, he even says that if he tells Gene to do one thing Gene will go do the exact opposite (Trump wants to say because he's stubborn, but he says because Gene is a strong thinker) and then Trump fires Gene.

Blargh! Such a stupid show today, I may have to stop watching at this point. It was just dumb.

Celebrity Apprentice -Episode 702

Ok, I am late in watching the show, but I saw the first episode and reiterate that Gene Simmons should win, according to me. Now, I have the next episode to watch, during which I will update this blog- so keep reading- here is episode 702 (week 2).

Slight recap- women lost the first task, and Tiffany Fallon (the Playboy playmate) was fired- and wrongly- I think Omarosa shoulda been canned.

I'd like to start with Piers Morgan. He has an English accent, I am unsure what he's been on before, except I think he was a judge for something like "How Badly Can You Sing on National TV" or something like that... he and Omarosa had a brawl (just with words though, hoped he would smack her, but he didn't) in the last board room, and now they are at it immediately when she walks back in. He's not wrong, she is a nobody and not a celebrity and obnoxious- but by saying it aloud, he is also being obnoxious....

On to Stephen Baldwin (who I ADORED in Bio Dome with Pauly Shore- ADORED!). He is doing this for the Carol Baldwin Cancer Research charity- in honor of his mom, Carol Baldwin, and although I don't think he'll win, I am glad to see him sober and on TV, he's just a sweetheart (so far anyway).

I am embarrassed to admit it, but although I can recognize a lot of the people on the show, I really have no idea who many of them are. Lennox Lewis- knew his name but not his face, I recognized Carol Alt (who looks great for her age, but I couldn't remember her name right away) Marilu Henner... and now the Project Manager for the women this week- Nely Galan- who??? It says under her name that she's a TV Executive, and I recognize her face, but have no idea from where. Of course, my favorite Gene Simmons is the PM for the men (naturally, I should have bet money that he would be the next PM- and probably the PM for most of the season unless he leaves or is a complete ass this episode).

So, I'm at the first commercial and kinda annoyed at my fave Gene... he was rude to Ivanka Trump and he's acting like a blowhard. I know that is his way, but still. Now, the men's team has made tactical errors by sending most of the team home with only Gene and Stephen making the commercial and asking everyone else to leave. (Tito Ortiz gets mad about that... naturally... saying "I run a multi million dollar company and I want to know that everything is ok"). The women are kind of petty and not so coordinated either, but I think the men are gonna win this one too- they once again used the 'celebrity' ticket while the women relied on making a 'good' product.

Gene quotes 'Sun Tzu' from 'The Art of War' and its a little bit hilarious actually. I am losing faith in my first pick here.

Oooh, Nadia (the gold medal winner I never heard of) says it right out loud to her teammates- if they lose, it's because they didn't put 6 celebs into a 30 second spot- and she is spot on!!! (FYI- I thought Tito Ortiz was Lennox Lewis, so the executive from Macy's was absolutely right about not everyone recognizing him). As i predicted- the men won- AGAIN.

Also, I hate the team names- 'Hydra' and 'Empresario' - blech.

Bull- all the women saying he should fire Nadia? She even called the whole lack of celebrity thing before they aired the ad- honestly, Nely should be out for sucking at producing a decent ad even if it is her specialty- ESPECIALLY because it's her specialty! However, since Nadia isn't sticking up for herself in the boardroom, I think she may be sunk... and she is fired. (I looked her up- she won all kinds of Olympic gold medals for gymnastics...)

Hmmm. This season is just not getting me excited- I keep waiting for it to start....

Celebrity Apprentice

I watched the premier episode last week when it aired on TV (usually I watch all my TV online at 2am when I am awake) and while completely underwhelmed by it- and annoyed that Omarosa wasn't fired right away, its going to capture my attention this season. Mostly, because it's funny to see celebrities sweat it out when we've already seen regular people do so- but also because their personalities are already developed for the public eye, so there is definitely going to be major head butting and ego bashing!

I predict Gene Simmons in the final two as of right now. He is way savvy and was hilarious- calling rich friends to buy $5000 hot dogs for charity!

I'll write a better post about this weeks episode after it airs.
