Ugly Betty

Usually, I blog as I watch the new episodes- catching upon the post during commercial breaks. This allows me to describe the episode with greater details and also helps me catch the funnier lines.

However, I watched Ugly Betty this week very late and on my laptop in bed, and was too lazy to type as I watched, so here goes:

Mr. Meade died at the end of last weeks episode and now its his funeral. Claire gets to attend, and Wilhemina crashes at the end of it. Daniel and Alexis push her into the open grave, and then with Claire, they vote to fire her. Wilhemina goes to her office, and uses a cd she got from an affair with someone in the Pentagon, she infects the entire computer system at Mode and deletes all their files.

Betty quit Mode, but finds out that somehow all the Mode files have been completely wiped from the computers and the issue has to go to print in a few hours. She steps up and calls everyone and helps Daniel and Alexis get the issue out.

The actress who is supposed to be on the cover is in rehab and they can't get in touch with the photographer who shot the pictures, so Daniel decides to go to the rehab center and break out the actress so he can reshoot the cover. Turns out, it is Eliza Dushku finally getting some work and appearing on the show as a snotty obnoxious brat. (I actually like most of the stuff she's done, just find it funny that she was imitating all the Britney/Lindsey shenanigans).

Alexis goes to sweet talk the printer into extending their print deadline... and ends up talking about life with a midget (you kind of have to watch it)

Anyway, the cover shoot goes bad when Daniel has a moral dilemma and decides not to give the recovering actress any alcohol - and she trashes the set and storms out.

In the end, the cover is a black 'blank slate' and folds out with the words 'In Memoriam, Bradford Meade'.

It is a great episode, and worth watching. Oh, and Betty took her job back. And they had a pink Christmas tree.
